Retail Price Management Daily Workflow

Created: 2/12/2026 | Last updated: 6/11/2026

Use this workflow when you need to keep retail prices current without changing your whole pricing strategy. It focuses on reviewing generated prices, updating the right listings, and handling exceptions after the update.

For rule setup, use Retail Rules. For day-to-day updates and filtered batches, use Products.

Before starting

  • Use a product line: Retail price updates are run for a specific product line or filtered group, not from the All product line view.
  • Filter carefully: Search, set filters, status filters, and lock filters determine which products are included in a batch action.
  • Check manual locks: Locked products report Price Locked and will not update through normal automation.

Review generated prices

  1. Open Retail Rules.
  2. Select the product line.
  3. Search for a few representative products.
  4. Compare TCGplayer, live, and generated prices.
  5. Confirm the Criteria column shows the expected rule set.

Run a full product line update

  1. Stay on Retail Rules.
  2. Click Update Prices.
  3. Use Task Monitoring or the update log modal to follow progress.
  4. Review price approvals if any changes are held for review.

Run a filtered update

  1. Open Products.
  2. Select the product line.
  3. Apply the filters for the group you want to update.
  4. Click Actions > Update Retail Prices.
  5. Wait for the task to finish, then refresh or re-run the search.

Handle exceptions

  1. Use Manual Controls for products that need a specific price.
  2. Use Lock All Prices on a filtered group when you intentionally want those products excluded from automated changes.
  3. Use Unlock All Prices when the group should return to automated pricing.
  4. Run Update Retail Prices after unlocking if you want current rules to apply immediately.
If a generated price is zero, missing, locked, or held for approval, Storepass will not silently push that value as a normal automated price update. Review the product message and fix the underlying condition before rerunning the update.
