Storepass integrates with Shopify store credit so stores can add credit from buylist payouts, use store credit in POS, refresh customer balances, and audit credit changes from Storepass.
Use this feature when store credit should live on the customer's Shopify account instead of only being tracked inside Storepass.
Before starting
- Confirm your Storepass Shopify app has the Shopify store credit permissions required for reading and writing store credit account transactions.
- Open POS Settings or Buylist Settings.
- Find Enable Shopify Store Credit.
- Click Enable Shopify Store Credit.
Use store credit
- Buylist payout: when a buylist is at the required status, staff can add the credit amount to the Shopify customer from the submission action menu.
- POS checkout: staff must select a customer before using store credit as a payment method.
- Customer page: staff can refresh the customer from Shopify to pull the latest balance.
- Store Credit Logs: Storepass records credit changes from supported Storepass workflows for review.
Review logs
- Open Store Credit Logs.
- Filter by customer, date range, or source.
- Review amount, previous balance, new balance, actor, note, and reference.
If enabling Shopify Store Credit fails, the Shopify app likely needs updated store credit permissions. Update the Shopify app permissions, reinstall or approve the app if required, then enable the feature again.
