Default condition discounts tell Storepass how lower-condition variants should price compared with the main condition, usually Near Mint. These discounts are configured as Product Grades on the product line and are used by retail price generation and manual pricing workflows.
Use this when lower-condition prices are too high, too low, or not generating because Storepass cannot match the condition name on the product variant.
Before starting
- Condition names must match: Product Grade labels should match the condition text on your variants, such as Near Mint, Lightly Played, Moderately Played, Heavily Played, and Damaged.
- Retail Discount is a multiplier: 1 means 100% of the source price, 0.8 means 80%, and 0.5 means 50%.
- Product line specific: Each product line has its own Product Grades.
Configure discounts
- Open Buylist Settings.
- Select the product line you want to edit.
- Open Product Grades.
- Enter or adjust each condition label.
- Set the Retail Discount for each condition.
- Add or remove conditions if the product line needs a different grading list.
- Save Settings.
Use the discounts in Retail Rules
- Open Retail Rules.
- Select the same product line.
- Open the Default rule or a rule set.
- Review the Condition Discounts section.
- Save the rule if you make pricing changes.
Review generated prices
- Use the preview table on Retail Rules.
- Find a product with multiple condition variants.
- Confirm lower conditions generate the expected prices.
- If a row says Setup Condition Discounts or cannot match the condition, update the Product Grade labels or the variant condition names.
Condition discounts do not create pricing data on their own. The product still needs a usable source price, a selected finish, and matching condition information before Storepass can generate a retail price.
After changing discounts
- Run a retail price update for the affected product line or filtered group.
- Review price approvals if the discount change creates large price changes.
- Spot-check several products across different conditions before considering the change complete.
