Variable Store Credit Amounts

Created: 5/5/2025 | Last updated: 6/11/2026 | Tags: buylist, store credit, pricing

Storepass can calculate a different buylist offer for store credit than for cash. You can set one store-wide credit multiplier in Buylist Settings, then override credit behavior on individual pricing rules when your plan supports it.

Use variable store credit amounts when some products should receive a better credit offer than your default.

  • Global credit percent: the default store credit multiplier used by the buylist.
  • Rule credit percent: a rule-level credit increase used by matching products.
  • Condition override: a condition-level credit value inside a percent-based rule.
  • Fixed credit price: an exact credit amount for a condition in a fixed-price rule.

Before starting

  1. Decide your default credit bonus, such as 20% more than cash.
  2. Decide whether any product groups need a different credit bonus.
  3. Confirm the store credit payment type is configured in Buylist Settings.

Set the default credit amount

  1. Open Buylist Settings.
  2. Open Global Settings.
  3. Set Credit percent.
  4. Save your changes.
  • 1.0: credit equals cash.
  • 1.2: credit is 20% higher than cash.
  • 1.3: credit is 30% higher than cash.

Set credit by rule

  1. Open Buylist Pricing Rules.
  2. Select the product line.
  3. Open the rule set you want to change.
  4. For Percent Based rules, set Your credit price should be to the percent more than cash.
  5. For Fixed Price rules, enter the exact credit amount for each condition.
  6. Save the rule.

Set credit by condition

  1. Open a percent-based rule.
  2. In Per-condition configuration, enable Custom for the condition that needs a different value.
  3. Set the condition's credit percent.
  4. Save the rule.

After changing credit values

  1. Use the pricing preview to confirm the generated cash and credit values.
  2. Open Products > All.
  3. Run Refresh Offer Prices for the affected product line or filtered group.
  4. Submit a test buylist and confirm the cart and checkout totals display the expected credit offer.
If credit editing fields are not available, your plan or store configuration may not include variable credit editing. The store-wide credit percent will still be used where applicable.
