Import and Create Products

Created: 5/23/2025 | Last updated: 6/11/2026

Storepass creates products from catalog data using the templates in Product Creation Settings. This lets you add cards, sealed products, and other supported product lines with consistent names, SKUs, tags, images, variants, and publishing behavior.

Use product creation when the product exists in the Storepass Catalog but has not been added to your Shopify or BigCommerce store yet.

Before starting

  1. Open Product Creation Settings.
  2. Select the product line you want to create.
  3. Review the templates for name, SKU, vendor or brand, tags or categories, description, image, status, and variants.
  4. For Shopify stores, review UPC, handle, product type, grams, country of origin, HS code, and variant option name when those fields matter.
  5. Save any changes before creating products.

Create one product

  1. Go to the Storepass Catalog.
  2. Select the product line and search for the product.
  3. Open the action menu for the product or use the visible Create Product button.
  4. Wait for the create action to finish or open the task link if Storepass starts a longer product creation task.

Create many products

  1. Use catalog filters to narrow the product line, set, name, or other available fields.
  2. Click Create Products.
  3. Confirm the number of products and finishes that will be created.
  4. Open Product Creation Tasks to review progress, skipped items, and errors.

Review skipped products

  • Already imported: Storepass found an existing connected listing for that product or finish.
  • Duplicate SKU or title: the platform rejected the product because the generated value already exists.
  • Empty title or SKU: the template did not produce a valid required value.
  • Image or Shopify rate limit error: retry after checking the product data or waiting for the platform limit to clear.
Duplicate creation is not enabled by default. If a product has already been imported, Storepass skips it instead of making a second listing.
