Use bulk standardize when you want existing listings to match your current product creation settings, especially if you changed your SKU format or want product images replaced across a filtered group of listings.
Bulk standardize starts from Retailer Search. The filters you apply there decide which products are included, then Storepass queues the work as a background task you can monitor from Bulk Standardize Tasks.
- Update SKUs after changing your SKU template.
- Insert missing images or replace existing images with the standardized image source.
- Apply current name, vendor, tags, description, product type, status, weight, and other supported product creation settings.
- Create missing variants when existing listings are missing expected conditions or variants.
- Review succeeded, skipped, and failed work items after the run starts.
Before starting
- Review the relevant settings in Product Creation Settings.
- Confirm the SKU, image, tag, description, product type, and variant settings are correct for the product line you plan to update.
- Decide whether you want to only fill missing images or replace existing images.
- Use a narrow filter first if you only want to standardize part of a product line.
Bulk standardize applies the selected changes to the products returned by your current search filters. Review the filtered results before continuing.
Configure
- Missing Variant Creation: Adds expected variants or conditions that are missing from existing listings.
- SKU: Rebuilds SKU values using the current SKU format for the selected product line.
- Insert Missing Image: Adds an image only when the listing does not already have one.
- Replace Images: Replaces existing listing images with the standardized images from your current settings.
- Name, Vendor, Tags, Description, Product Type, Status, and Grams: Updates those fields to match current product creation settings.
- Purchase Limit, Country of Origin, HS Code, and Variant Option Name: Updates platform-specific fields when they are supported for your store.
Use Replace Images only when you want existing product images overwritten. Use Insert Missing Image when you only want to fill blank image slots.
Use
- Go to Retailer Search.
- Select the product line you want to standardize. Bulk standardize is available after choosing a specific product line, not All.
- Use the search and filter controls to narrow the results to the listings you want to update.
- Open the Actions menu.
- Select Bulk Standardize Products.
- In Bulk Standardize Options, check only the fields you want Storepass to update.
- Click Continue to queue the bulk standardize task.
Monitor
- Go to Bulk Standardize Tasks.
- Use Window to review the past hour, day, week, month, quarter, year, or all time.
- Use Task status to filter by queued, planning, applying, completed, completed with errors, failed, or cancelled tasks.
- Review the summary cards for items in flight, succeeded items in the selected window, failed items in the selected window, and recent task totals.
- Review Work items (all-time for your store) to see queued, processing, succeeded, skipped, failed, and cancelled totals.
- Use Recent failures to see failures grouped by task, with the latest error shown once for that task.
- Use the Recent tasks table to track status, product line, item count, done count, in-flight count, failed count, and progress.
- Click Refresh now to update the task list immediately.
Review work items
- Click the green done count in the Done column to review succeeded work items.
- Use the Succeeded tab to see what changed for each listing, such as SKU, image, vendor, tags, variants, product type, status, or weight.
- Click Show applied templates on succeeded items when you need to inspect the template values that were applied.
- Click a skipped count to review skipped work items and the reason each listing was skipped.
- Click a failed count or recent failure group to review failed work items, friendly error messages, attempt counts, and update times.
- Click Show technical details on failed items when Storepass support needs the raw platform error.
- Click the listing name when it is linked to open the listing in the store.
- Use Load more and Refresh inside the work item modal when a task has more results.
Cancel
- Open Bulk Standardize Tasks.
- Find the active task in the Recent tasks table.
- Click Cancel.
- Confirm the cancellation.
Cancel stops remaining queued work items. Items already being processed may still finish, and changes that were already applied are not reverted.
After it finishes
- Check whether the task completed, completed with errors, failed, or was cancelled.
- Review succeeded work items to confirm the expected fields changed.
- Review failed and skipped work items when the task did not fully complete.
- Spot-check a few updated listings from Retailer Search to confirm the SKU format, images, and selected fields look correct.
